Dahmen's Old Hybrid, A TSR 2-Wood & More | Unique Clubs In Play

March 01, 2026

The PGA Tour made its annual stop at PGA National for the Cognizant Classic, traditionally one of the toughest tests on the PGA Tour schedule. When it comes to equipment, this week was a busy one for tour trucks as the tour began the Florida Swing, which incorporates a new set of grasses and conditions compared to the venues on the west coast.

But when it comes to unique clubs, there was plenty of fun ones in bags -- starting with one of game's best personalities.

JOEL DAHMEN'S OLD SCHOOL HYBRID

Joel Dahmen has been playing some solid golf of late. He finished outside of the top 125 in last season's standings, so it's imperative for him to take advantage of the starts he does get this season to earn FedEx Cup points. He recorded his second top-10 finish of the at the Cognizant Classic while gaming a PING Anser hybrid, which was launched nearly 15 years ago. Dahmen's Anser hybrid is at 20 degrees of loft, and it bridges the gap between his 3-wood and his iron set. (h/t GolfWRX)

TSR 2-WOOD?

Jackson Suber is one of the most promising young stars in the game. He showed up to PGA National gaming a unique 2-wood, or what appears to be a prototype mini driver. It's a Titleist TSR 2-wood, and now having the hindsight of the Titleist GT280 mini driver, this TSR model appears to be what Titleist was working on when designing the GT280. Suber's 2-wood also includes the front and back adjustable weighting and looks to be similar in size to the GT280. (h/t GolfWRX)

ANOTHER OLD HYBRID (BUT NOT THAT OLD)

K.H. Lee is a PGA Tour winner and known for the ability to get hot and make birdies in bunches. An equipment free agent, his bag consists of a combination of Callaway and Titleist clubs throughout most of the bag. What caught our attention was the Titleist TS3 hybrid, which was released seven years ago. The TS3 hybrid in Lee's bag is at 17 degrees of stated loft with a Graphite Design Tour AD HY 95x shaft.
